The problem

Most Japanese courses prepare you for a trip, not for a move

Apps teach you to order a coffee. Textbooks teach you the zoo. Neither teaches you to register at the ward office, open a bank account or explain a fever to a doctor at night.

When you move to Japan, you need the Japanese of a resident, in the order you will need it.

What's inside

  • 90 daily pages, 3,178 sentences, 5,000 words.

  • Japanese, rōmaji and English on every line.

  • Themes in the order of a real move: home, administration, health, money, work, family.

  • A 4,600-entry Japanese glossary with rōmaji and the day each word first appears.

  • A user guide: how to read, test yourself and practise aloud in 25 minutes.

✅ This is for you if

  • You move to Japan and prefer to learn on your own.

  • You can practise 25 minutes a day.

  • You want real sentences, not a grammar course.

❌ This is not for you if

  • You need someone to correct your speaking every day.

  • You want audio lessons or video.

  • You are preparing for the JLPT.
